Steven Sego A deeply spiritual and inquisitive individual who has experienced various challenges and life changes but remains grateful for his faith and understanding of God.
About Me: Know More About My Background: I was born in Alamosa, Colorado, on April 16, 1958. I was the thirteenth child out of fourteen siblings. After my younger brother Michael was born, my parents divorced, and we settled in western Montana. I grew up in and around the towns of Troy, Libby, and Noxon. Before my younger brother Daniel left on his mission, Michael tragically passed away in an accident. This loss affected me deeply, leading me to reflect, meditate, and pray to understand the afterlife and God. My primary questions were: Where do we come from, why are we here, and where do we go when we die?
After graduating high school, I went on a mission to Hong Kong, where I taught the gospel to the Chinese people. Upon returning to the States, I encountered romantic disappointments and eventually married someone I didn’t know well, leading to an unhappy marriage. Later, I met and married a woman from Northern Ireland, who brought immense joy to my life. We have four children together.
Throughout my life, I sought knowledge and understanding about God, history, and government. I became part of a conservative group in Idaho and began to see the interconnectedness of these subjects. Discontent with the Mormon Church’s direction, I distanced myself from it. My family and I lived self-sufficiently on a farm in Idaho before eventually moving to Wisconsin.
I am grateful for the experiences and people in my life, and I cherish my faith in God and the understanding He has granted me. I hope that anyone who reads this can find enrichment in the shared experiences and insights within this narrative.
